VIRTUAL THERAPY FOR COUPLES IN NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY & FLORIDA
Therapy for Couples
A structured process focused on understanding what fuels your conflicts, strengthening your connection, and building a more resilient partnership.
You want to talk about what matters without ending up in the same argument.
You may find that a conversation starts with a practical concern and quickly becomes about something much bigger. One of you feels unheard. The other feels criticized. You may both want to resolve things, but the conversation leaves you feeling further apart. Over time, it can become harder to bring up what matters or enjoy the time you spend together.
You may notice that…
You return to the same disagreement, even after you thought you had resolved it.
One of you tries to keep talking while the other pulls away or shuts down.
It is difficult to express a need without the conversation becoming tense.
Stress, hurt, or a loss of trust is affecting how close you feel.
Couples therapy can help you move through conflict with greater understanding and rebuild a sense of connection.
-
We look at what happens when a conversation goes off course and how each of you responds. As you begin to recognize the pattern, we can also make room for the hurt, fear, or longing that may be harder to express in the moment.
-
I help each of you share what you need and hear what your partner is trying to communicate beneath a familiar reaction. These conversations create opportunities to respond to one another with greater openness and care.
-
With a stronger foundation, you can return to the issues that have been difficult to resolve. We work on bringing your new ways of communicating and connecting into life outside of therapy.
At the end of the day…
I want you to know that I will approach your relationship with care and curiosity. I will stay engaged, help slow down difficult conversations, and make room for each of you to be heard.
You can begin to understand each other more fully, even when you see things differently.
Is couples therapy right for you?
Couples therapy with me is structured, engaged, and shaped by a contemplative perspective.
My work with couples is informed by Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT). We identify the cycle that takes over when conflict or disconnection arises and explore what each of you may be feeling and needing beneath your reactions. In session, I help you share those experiences with each other and practice responding in ways that support greater trust and closeness.
My contemplative approach does not require either of you to meditate or share any particular beliefs. It shapes how I help you slow down and notice your own reactions during difficult moments, making more room to hear each other and choose how to respond. During a free consultation, we can talk about what you’re looking for and whether this approach feels right for you.

I’ll help you understand how each of you experienced what happened and where the conversation broke down. I’ll also be direct when something hurtful needs to be addressed. The goal is for both of you to leave with a clearer sense of what needs to change.
